AMA Summary on 03/25/22

Before we begin our AMA session, I would first like to thank everyone who is supportive of our TEB community! TEB is a collaboration NFT brand based on East Asian Zodiacs: Twelve Earthly Branches. We are planning to collaborate with a variety of influential organizations across multiple industries, including the currently announced DRX. TEB is actively acquiring new IPs through these collaborations and purchasing of leading NFT projects including BAYC, Coolcats, and Doodles. TEB’s IP acquisitions will be recreated as unique contents within the TEB universe and will be shared across our community. Our team is working very passionately to make our vision come true: creating an online prosumption community where participants can easily consume and recreate contents. The support from our community is essential for the success of TEB — therefore, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to early supporters here.

1. Why twelve earthly branches? Are you planning to launch NFTs of all twelve guardian animals?

Our team believes that Korean culture has a universal appeal that can form a strong base for a platform hosting globally attractive contents. Over the past decade, Korean culture has expanded its influence from being a regional niche to a globally engaging source of entertainment. The success of Korean contents like BTS, Squid Game, and Parasite has one commonality: they all adhered to the core of Korean culture that was unconventional to the global audience.

One of the most important factors that drives the success of NFT projects is a sustainable and appealing theme that can engage its audience. We looked for a theme that speaks to everyone, but was unfamiliar enough to be fresh and entertaining. This aligns very well with Korean culture, and more specifically our theme, Twelve Earthly Branches.

The legend of Twelve Earthly Branches is very similar to the zodiac signs familiar to the global audience. Just like there are numerous stories associated with Aries, Gemini, and Cancer, Twelve Earthly Branches has stories defined by its twelve guardian animals.

Our roadmap, however, is not defined by these twelve guardian animals. While we are subsequently planning to launch Dragon NFTs with DRX, we won’t strictly define our opportunities as blindly minting twelve NFT collections. We are in fact planning something more exciting with DRX — we will take TEB NFTs beyond Open Sea and jump into the metaverse. We hope to truly connect our community through sustainable and long-lasting benefits through aggressive acquisitions and partnerships (The details will be released in future announcements). During this process, there will be more minting events of other guardian animals; but please keep in mind that these minting events do not define our platform but rather they will be used to fuel growth of TEB community and the brand.

2. I am curious about how TEB will share its IP. Can all TEB NFTs be recreated or used for commercial purposes? Are there plans for incubating, supporting NFT projects utilizing TEB NFTs?

To go straight to the conclusion, the answer is “yes”. Any TEB NFT holders can commercialize their TEB NFT assets. To go into the details of why such a decision was made, we first would like to explain why we started an NFT project, instead of some other IP (intellectual property) business.

We were actually inspired by the possibilities of IP becoming decentralized as an open source. The potential of open source has already been proven in the Software Engineering space. One of the biggest reasons for an exponential growth in the tech industry is the sharing of knowledge through open source code bases. Software Engineers do not have to start from scratch. They can learn from other engineer’s code bases and improve it to make a better product. Why can’t such practice be applied to intellectual property? When we forget the idea that intellectual property is only owned and controlled by a single entity, there arises endless possibilities.

We envisioned a world where IP can be endlessly recreated and be commercialized, creating huge value to the overall society. The influence of IP businesses will only grow in the near future. We wanted to share these benefits as a collective, decentralized community. NFTs allow this vision to become a reality.

We believe that we can form the strongest community by having members directly contribute through creating their own IPs. Once this prosumption community becomes active, a reward mechanism for all NFT holders and community participants can be automated and expanded.

Just like the Harry Potter story created 4 billion USD worth of value to the society, TEB plans to utilize storytelling to create value for the decentralized community participants.

And of course, we have plans for supporting and incubating NFT projects expanding upon our TEB universe. The value of open source becomes greater with more contributors — therefore, we are very optimistic about supporting teams willing to pitch their project ideas to us.

3. What kind of Metaverse is TEB trying to build? When will TEB officially launch its Metaverse? Will TEB start its own token economy / staking?

TEB believes that the value of NFTs grows exponentially when it can be used in the Metaverse. If TEB NFTs become incorporated into a NFT-centered token economy within the Metaverse, the utility can grow explosively. Therefore TEB plans to construct its own metaverse so that TEB NFTs can become assets in the TEB token ecosystem.

We will first start off by acquiring assets within NFT Worlds and building TEB zones within. We will then build our Minecraft based TEB universe, and our own Metaverse platform.

We are planning to launch our token economy and staking by Q3 of this year. We are aiming to create an efficient token economy by creating sustainable excitement about our project through continuous collaborations and partnerships. We hope to also attract participants unfamiliar with blockchain and cryptos through creating a system that is not domain specific and complex.

4. Is there a similar collaboration brand that TEB is benchmarking? I am curious about the current status of partnerships and backings.

TEB is benchmarking a brand called CASETIFY. CASETIFY produces smartphone cases through collaborations with a variety of brands and artists and is now one of the most influential companies in the industry. CASTEFIY was able to prove that brand collaborations can create enormous value to both parties — CASETIFY can sustain the hype and excitement about their product under their brand name, and collaborators can enter an unfamiliar industry with minimal effort.

There is an enormous demand for established brands and celebrities to enter the Web 3.0 and NFT space. However, while they can create momentary excitement, NFTs ultimately can not be sustainable without true utility and expandable storyline. TEB can provide these through partnerships. TEB will serve as a gateway for these brands/celebrities to enter an unfamiliar industry. For us, we can create continuous excitement about our TEB brand through these collaborations. Through this win-win relationship, we are planning to establish TEB as a reputable brand within the NFT market.

We currently have unannounced partnerships and backers. We are not planning to disclose this information at this moment. We would like to prove our partnerships/backers through real business execution, instead of just disclosing them early to create hype. We are currently at stages of discussing business details and will subsequently announce them once everything becomes finalized. After all, our goal is to create sustainability — not momentary hype. Our team is working efficiently to work out the details of these partnerships as our priority is the speed of execution. Therefore, you might hear new announcements regarding our collaborators faster than expected.

5. How will TEB collaborate with DRX? I am curious about TEB’s next steps with DRX and how you will use this partnership for marketing. Is there also plans for disclosing TEB team members?

As you can see in our whitepaper, we are trying to expand TEB universe into a variety of IP platforms. We want TEB to be consumed and enjoyed by more people. One of the key IP platform industries is the gaming industry. Therefore, we are planning to build our own gaming platform under TEB universe. Unfortunately this would take a lot of time and resources. We would first like to engage TEB participants through a TEB x DRX guild within P2E gaming platforms.

TEB x DRX Guild Games (TDGG), will become an entity hosting P2E gamers and investors. TDGG has full access to DRX resources, such as star e-sports professional players. You will soon be able to see the DRX professional gaming team playing and marketing these P2E games. Just like other P2E gaming guilds, TDGG will invest in NFTs within P2E games and provide these to players to facilitate their gaming experience. However, what is unique about TDGG is that we can build our community based on over 1.5 million DRX fans, and make it sustainable through attracting participants who truly enjoy gaming rather than just NFT traders. Through this collaboration, TDGG will aim to become a globally recognized gaming guild.

We are currently actively searching for partnerships with P2E games — the most likely P2E game that TDGG will start off with is BIG TIME. We are currently discussing ways for providing early access passes to TEBXST holders willing to participate in P2E games. There will be more details about TDGG and P2E games in future announcements.

While the order of our roadmap could have a minor change during our platform development process, we hope you understand that we are working for a single objective of building a sustainable community under TEB universe.

There are many questions related to TEB team members. As noted in our website, we are not planning to disclose our team members. We will disclose our team members if we decide that this would be necessary for the growth of our projects and community building. Please keep in mind that our team member information is fully disclosed during our partnership meetings. Disclosing our team members has never become an obstacle in forming these partnerships, and we hope that this information can be a relief to anyone doubtful of our team’s credentials.

1) Is TEBXST minting a genesis minting event?

1. TEBXST is a genesis minting. This minting event signals the start of the TEB Universe, and all holders will be able to receive benefits related to future minting events, metaverse, partnerships through whitelists/airdrops.
2. Yes, whitelist members can 100% participate in PRE-minting event. Any unsold NFTs during PRE minting will be transferred to Public minting.
3. We will burn all the unsold NFTs after public minting.
4. You can see details of our holder benefits in #💸│holder-benefits. There will be more announcements after our TEBXST minting event regarding these benefits.

5. Once TEBXST minting event and reveal is over, TEB will continue with next steps in our road map. Our team is preparing to launch a P2E gaming guild. We also have collaborations with famous artists, and promotion events at The Hyundai Seoul. We are always working hard to create a sustainable community under TEB universe.
